judgement is really fucked up no matter which character your looking at it from but damn imagine being paeon. you live in the castle and have a pretty comfortable life then one day ypu hear your father and the man next in line for king talking about framing someone for murder when the king dies. so then you decide to help the people accused of killing the king escape, because you can't bring yourself to watch innocents be punished for something they didn't do, even if doing the right thing would completely upend your current life. you help and lose quite literally everything you had. and then you learn No Actually one of them did kill that guy and you did all that shit for nothing

I think Condi was a genius for giving us the reveal out of nowhere rather than waiting for some big huge confrontation to happen cuz like, if they were in a fight with the new king or Mel's parents or something there's no way anyone would've sided against Mel cuz she was clearly actively fighting the people who got her to do it.

Because it was revealed in a moment where it was the entire focus, there was nothing else to think about other than how Mel lied to them and destroyed their lives and put the whole kingdom into disarray.

I still believe that Mel is redeemable, even Paeon who seems most staunchly against Mel at the moment said they believe she can do better, but it's good that we haven't actually *seen* her do much better yet.

i so desperately want paeon to go on a vengeance arc. sure, he's a doctor, but having his trust broken by both his father (i think) and mel who he thought was a friend surely must have cracked something in him. i think the voice acting too makes me want to see paeon go truly psycho

This episode was so so good, I loved it. The character development was amazing, the future thinkers can get fucked, Troy 'Pretty Boy' Lougferd my beloved. I'm still anticipating the reveal of his father and what's up with Tramilton, but with the return to Reclaim, I feel that may not be for some time
